Types of Alpitronic Chargers

Alpitronic specializes in DC fast chargers, offering scalable solutions from 50 kW to 1 MW. Its flagship Hypercharger line includes:

  • HYC 50: Compact wallbox or pedestal DC charger delivering up to 50 kW, with dual-CCS ports for simultaneous charging.
  • HYC 200 / HYC 400: Modular units rated at 200 kW and 400 kW with expansion in 100 kW increments. Equipped with dual CCS connectors, optional CHAdeMO/NACS/GB‑T, large 15″ display, and RFID/QR authentication.

All models are designed for public and commercial use, featuring rugged IP55-rated enclosures and high uptime.

How to Connect Alpitronic to the Internet

Alpitronic chargers support Ethernet, SIM/LTE, and VPN, enabling robust connectivity and cloud integration:

  1. Access the charger’s local IP (usually 192.168.1.100) via Ethernet cable.
  2. In Network settings, configure Ethernet or input SIM APN credentials (e.g., iot.emobility, effizienz.rwe.com).
  3. Save settings, reboot, and verify successful remote login.

That enables the charger to communicate via OCPP endpoint with Ampcontrol or other OCPP platforms.

Integrating Alpitronic with Remote Monitoring Software

Alpitronic supports OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1, allowing full integration with Ampcontrol’s backend:

  • Set the OCPP URL, credentials, and ChargePoint ID in the charger’s BOOT.INI or OCPP configuration screen.
  • After reboot, the charger registers itself and appears in the Ampcontrol dashboard.
  • This enables:
    • Real-time state, sessions, energy metrics
    • Remote start/stop, device reset, firmware updates
    • Smart charging: load balancing, scheduled charging, priority control
    • Alerts, diagnostics, and usage analytics
