Ampcontrol Becomes SOC 2 Type 2 Compliant to Offer Secure Fleet Charging Services

July 9, 2024

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Ampcontrol, the leading solution for electric fleet operators, announced today that it has become SOC 2 Type 2 compliant in accordance with standards for SOC for Service Organizations (also known as SSAE 18) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Through a six-month-long security audit program, which carefully researched Ampcontrol’s procedures, policies, operations, and information security practices, Ampcontrol has officially met the SOC 2 security standards.

With the achievement of another third-party industry validation, Ampcontrol Technologies, Inc. provides enterprise-level security for customer data secured in the Ampcontrol system. With SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, Ampcontrol continues its commitment to reliability, high security, risk mitigation, high-security measures, and overall customer confidence.

Ampcontrol ensures the highest standards of data compliance and security. Organizations often need proof of this compliance when selecting software systems. Without proper protection, systems integrated with charging stations risk exposing sensitive data and compromising network integrity and operations. A security breach can cause significant operational delays until resolved.

Ampcontrol’s SOC 2 Type 2 compliance provides customers the assurance that Ampcontrol takes data security and privacy extremely seriously, thus fostering trust and confidence. For existing Ampcontrol customers, the SOC 2 Type 2 compliance also offers the opportunity to scale with Ampcontrol. Many geographical regions and industries alike have strict regulatory requirements which demand data protection and privacy. Ampcontrol’s SOC 2 compliance ensures that the software provider meets or exceeds these standards, which allows for easier operations in these regulated geographies and sectors.

“We are excited for our SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, which has advanced us into a higher level of security standards,” said Joachim Lohse, CEO and Founder of Ampcontrol, “Our customers’ trust and confidence are of the utmost importance to us, and with SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, we are able to help new and existing customers alike achieve their security goals.”
