Single Dashboard

One easy-to-use dashboard for multiple sites and customers. Ampcontrol’s dashboard has proven essential to respond quickly to customer requests, access logs, and monitor energy management.

Challenges

Daily Power Outage

On average, South Africa has one power outage per day. These outages can last from minutes to several hours. To work through outages, Aeversa had to install backup power and monitor the charging operation in real time.

New Vehicle and Charger Brands

South Africa has a short history of electric trucks and charging stations. Most brands have never been deployed in South Africa, and certainly not for fleets. To maximize their options on vehicles and chargers, Aeversa required software that is compatible and compliant with worldwide brands.

Independence

Aeversa is the first contact for customers. To streamline their customer support operations, Aeversa wanted to be fully independent from a charging management software support team. Aeversa needed software that was intuitive and easy to use.

Solution

Proactive Monitoring

Using Ampcontrol's dashboard, Aeversa can monitor power outages and their impact on the active charging sessions of trucks. Aeversa's battery energy storage systems will automatically extend the charging sessions. In addition, Aerversa can schedule demand response (grid signals) through Ampcontrol's API to react dynamically to predicted outages.

LEARN HOW
Successful Integration with a Vehicle and Charger Brands

Ampcontrol's services are hardware agnostic, which offers a wide range of options for Aeversa. Both companies collaborated on various hardware testing and evaluations. Ampcontrol ran its test scripts pre-commissioning to ensure compatibility. After successful hardware testing to provide a seamless connection, Ampcontrol's software was compatible with Aeversa's ABB DC Chargers and Grasen DC Chargers.

LEARN HOW
User-Friendly Dashboard

An easy-to-use and easy-to-train dashboard was a priority for Aeversa to quickly and efficiently support any customer concerns. Through collaboration with Ampcontrol's UI/UX team, Ampcontrol's innovative charging management dashboard now provides a comprehensive view of vehicle charge, charging location, distance traveled, and other key indicators. Still today, Ampcontrol's product designers work closely with Aeversa's operations team.
